Topamax Side Effects

Euphasia is a dietary supplement that helps alleviate the side effects caused by Topiramate (TOPAMAX®), Zonisamide (ZONEGRAN®), and other medications that can cause metabolic acidosis. TOPAMAX® is a prescription medicine used to prevent migraine headaches in adults and adolescents 12 years and older. Take two capsules of Euphasia twice a day unless otherwise directed by your health care professional. Each bottle contains a 30 day supply.

How does Euphasia work on the side effects of TOPAMAX®?

When you take medications like TOPAMAX® and ZONEGRAN® they tend to cause an imbalance in your pH levels. This imbalance causes side effects like foggy head, forgetfulness, confusion, difficulty recalling simple words or names, and tingling in your hands and feet. Euphasia works as a buffer to neutralize the imbalance caused by the medication.

When you have heartburn you take antacids. Antacids work by neutralizing the pH Level in your stomach. However, when you have side effects from medications like TOPAMAX® the pH imbalance is in your brain and not your stomach. Euphasia has been designed to survive the stomach acid so that it is absorbed in the small intestine.  As Euphasia is absorbed into the blood stream and delivered to the brain, the fog begins to lift, leaving your mind clearer and your thoughts in order.

Euphasia helps with side effects of metabolic acidosis. TOPAMAX® may cause eye problems. Euphasia can not help with eye or vision changes. Patients taking TOPAMAX® for seizures are often on to high of a dosage where the maximum dosage of Euphasia can’t counteract the metabolic acidosis. Patients should not take more than the recommended dosage of Euphasia without consulting a health care professional.
